Altair's Sword

Altair’s Sword is a silver sword, distinguish by its eagle-inspired hilt. Altair Ibn'La'Ahad was fated to be an Assassin, since his parents were Assassins. He received Altair's Sword as a child, and used it to take countless lives. Consequently, Altair's Sword gained legendary status after Altair earned the rank of 'Master Assassin'.

Altair’s Sword

Altair was not a sentimental man. As such, he replaced Altair's Sword with a more exquisite sword befitting his rank. However, when Altair failed in his mission to acquire a relic from the Templars, Al Mualim — his mentor — stripped him of his rank and all his personal weapons.

Al Mualim would restore Altair's status. However, he had to eliminate nine high-ranking Templars. After Altair killed his seventh target, Al Mualim returned Altair’s Sword to him. But Altair soon realized Al Mualim’s plot — he wanted to weaken the Templar Order and put down the Assassins so he could acquire the relic and use its powers for his own gains.

Realizing his folly, Altair challenged and defeated Al Mualim in a duel. Thereafter, he took leadership of the Assassins. With his efforts, the Assassins grew in strength, and its influence spread throught Europe. After Altair’s death, Altair's Sword would appear to assist worthy Assassins.

Ezio Auditore

Ezio Auditore da Firenze was of its most notable users during the 15th century. The Florentine acquired the sword twice. The Villa Blacksmith sold it to him for 45,000 florins during his earlier adventures. Although he lost the sword afterwards, it was made available after Ezio completed all of the Assassin Guild's challenges. He then use it to fight the Templar Order. In the end, Ezio became the leader of the Assassin Brotherhood in Italy.
