Strider Hiryu

The Cypher is a sword modified from the tonfa to include a plasma blade. As such, its blade can cut through the toughest metal with ease. Its length can also be manipulated, allowing the user to extend his attack range — even unleashing energy projectiles if he is skillful enough. As plasma consists of charged particles, it is inadvisable to use the sword near water, so as to avoid electrocution.

The Cypher's unique design and capabilities makes the sword very difficult to master. Only Special A-Class Striders can wield it; that is expected, since they are the pinnacle of strength. A Special A-Class Strider is skilled to the point of perfection. He possesses remarkable strength and agility. More importantly, he is trained to be emotionless and merciless. With the Cypher, he is deadly and unstoppable.

Out of all the Cypher's users, Strider Hiryu is the most well-known. He is very proficient with the sword — able to dispatch an enemy in a split second, since his sword strikes are said to be faster than the sound of sound. While Hiryu’s background is shrouded in mystery, it is clear that he is a hero. His efforts had saved the world from destruction many times. His enemies include:

Cypher in action

The Syndicate — an organization that sought to control humanity with brainwashing technology. Making matters worst, Strider Matic had defected. However, with the Cypher, Hiryu was able to defeat his former colleague and destroy the enemy’s base of operations. 

The Lord of Darkness — an entity that sought to use his powers to terrorize the world. This time, it was Strider Hien who defected. However, they were no match for Hiryu and the Cypher in the end.
