Bishamon Sword

In ages past, the War-God Bishamon is said to bless the warriors in feudal Japan. In fact, he rewarded the worthiest of warriors with the ultimate sword — the Bishamon Sword. Indeed, the sword is created from a fusion of Lightning, Wind and Fire,  giving it the power to defeat a demon army.

However, massive strength is required to wield such a powerful sword. As such, the Bishamon Sword could only be wielded by Oni — half-ogres with the strength of a thousand men. Unfortunately, the Demons destroyed the Oni clan. Sent to the abyss, they bidded their time, vowing revenge. When Fortinbras, the Demon King, sought to destroy the world by reviving Oda Nobunaga, the Oni clan claimed their own champion — Samanosuke Akechi, a samurai who possesses honor and courage.

Samanosuke received the Oni gauntlet. The relic endowed him with superhuman powers, thus allowing him to wield the Bishamon Sword. However, obtaining it is no easy feat. Samanosuke had to prove his worth by passing treacherous trials.

With the sword, Samanosuke made short work of Fortinbras. Unfortunately, his Oni powers consumed him, causing him to go ito a killing frenzy. His inability to control the Oni in him led Samanosuke to disappear for a decade, as he sought ways to master the gauntlet. He also took the Bishamon Sword with him. Fortunately, he succeeded — just in time to defeat Oda Nobunaga. After Fortinbras' death, the warlord took over as the Demon King.

Thereafter, Samanosuke traveled the land as its immortal guardian. When Hideyoshi Toyotomi terrorized the land, Samanosuke had to find the one worthy enough to inherit the Oni powers and the Bishamon Sword. He would be Soki, a man known for his courage and strength as an Oni warrior.
