Dabura manifests the Darkness Sword

You might be disappointed to learn that the Darkness Sword does not have an affinity to darkness. In fact, it is wielded like a normal weapon, and does not actually look "evil". The sword resembles a Chinese saber, with a hooked blade — to snag and tear out flesh — and a star-shaped guard. It is wielded by Dabura, the Demon King.

The Darkness Sword is stored in another dimension, with Dabura able to retrieve it at will. It deals the most damage when Dabura utilizes his special moves, which are designed to catch an opponent unawares. 

As the Demon King, Dabura delighted in the suffering of others. However, he is also well-spoken and courteous — which is quite a paradox. Initially, he wanted nothing to do with Earth. However, Babidi, an evil alien wizard, was able to control Dabura against his will.  As such, he had no choice but to help fulfill Babidi's ultimate goal — to revive Majin Buu and rule the universe.

However, the Saiyans were determined to stop Babidi. To that end, Babidi ordered Dabura to kill them and harvest their spiritual energies. Dabura injured several of them, before confronting Gohan. Even as the Demon King, he was unable to gain an upper hand over Gohan. With no options left, he manifested his trump card — the Darkness Sword. 

Unfortunately, he only wielded it for a short time before the blade was snapped in half by Gohan’s bare hands — prove of the Saiyan's superiority over Dabura in battle. The Demon King had to retreat. However, it was later revealed that he was only assessing Gohan’s strengths and weaknesses. 

In events thereafter, Dabura decided to turn over a new leaf, and the Darkness Sword was never seen again.
