Ein unleashes his sword skills upon his enemies

Ragnarok — the final battle between demons and gods. As the gods faced destruction, they sacrificed their lives to create the Grim Angels as their champions of light. Endowed with divine power, the Grim Angels were able to fashion sacred weapons called Diviners to defeat the demons of Utgard.
 

Einherjar

Ein was a Grim Angel who wielded Einherjar as his Diviner. To create a Diviner, a Grim Angel must sacrifice something dear to him or her. As such, Ein chose to give up his wings — and was destined to never fly again. However, it was worth it, for Einherjar greatly increased Ein’s powers. Consequently, he was one of only two Grim Angels chosen by the Magi Hector to activate the Retribution. While the deed would destroy Riviera, it was necessary in order to destroy the demons, which were rumoured to have returned.

Unfortunately, Ein and Leah, his partner, were oblivious to Hector’s plans — to cultivate the souls of the Retribution’s victims and become the True God. Luckily, they were stopped by Riviera’s guardian. He banished Ein to Yggdrasil, hoping that he would uncover the truth. Thereafter, Ein realized the importance of friendship, having made loyal friends. Einherjar also took on a new purpose — to protect rather than kill. Hence, Ein was able to defeat Leah when he tried to activate the Retribution.

Ein vs Hector

However, it was too late, for Hector had transformed into the True God. All hope seemed lost. However, Ein was determined to save Riviera at all costs. As such, he wielded Einherjar against the True God and battled with all his might. In the end, Ein defeated the True God — bringing peace back to Rivieria.
