NO MORE HEROES

A katana, a fluorescent lamp and a PC make up the beam katana. Upon activation, an internal power supply located in the hilt releases energy. Crystals then focus that energy onto the blade. A motherboard can be installed in a beam katana to automate energy output and synchronize it to its user. The sword comes in five different colors, with each one symbolizing a different personality. Blue, for example, represents courage.
a typical beam katana |
The beam katana is powerful enough to cut through anything with little effort. It can unleash energy projectiles, adding to its range. At the same time, its user can smack away any projectiles by swinging the sword like a baseball bat. However, using it well is no easy feat — and requires a skilled swordsman.
Each beam katana is customizable according to its user’s taste. Notable models include:
· the Cross Sword with short energy blades as its crossguard
· the D.O.S, which activates instantly once unsheathed
· the Horse Saber and its fluid blade
· the Orange II, designed for brute force
Travis Touchdown, an otaku, started his career as a hitman after he acquired a beam katana online. He called it Blood Berry, a tribute to his favorite anime — Pure White Lover Bizarre Jelly. He was able to wield Blood Berry in only a short time, possibly due to the fact that he was good at video games. It wasn't long before the United Assassins Association invited him to play a dangerous game. Travis had to climb up the ladder by defeating other beam katana users — to reach the top-dog position.
